Community Builders

Community Builders is a not-for-profit construction social enterprise serving Northern and Central Ontario, with a base near Minesing. It builds affordable housing, legal second suites, off-site modular homes and renovations while training people in skilled trades and placing them in jobs. Its reach includes Simcoe County, Greater Sudbury, Muskoka and Sault Ste. Marie. General contracting is open to outside clients, and the work includes renovating community housing units, sub-trades workforce supply and projects such as a one of a kind custom build in Barrie. Hours are posted and the premises have wheelchair accessible parking and entrance. Its impact figures cover completed projects, community housing units renovated, new affordable units created and trainees educated, and an annual impact report covers the year from August 2024 to July 2025.
