Longwoods Log Homes

Longwoods Log Homes has built custom log homes near London, Ontario since 2002, working from a 10 acre site on Longwoods Road in Melbourne. Jonathan Richards leads the work, and the firm designs and constructs fully scribed round log homes from northern white pine, winter cut, air dried and hand peeled, with saddle notch corners. A log shell takes about six to eight weeks to build at the yard, is then tagged and trucked to the client's site, and goes back up in two or three days. Its experience includes custom homes, cottages and commercial builds. It also designs and builds timber frame structures such as gazebos, covered outdoor living areas and entry features, and offers additions and log and timber maintenance.
